Sadly, United HealthCare has informed our practice that as of 08/15/2014 they will no longer be participating with Dermatology Specialists, PA.  If you are a UHC Medicare patient of our practice this means that your visit will us will not be covered under your In-Network benefit plan. It may, however, be covered under your Out of Network benefit.  You should contact UHC Medicare before your visit to ensure that you understand how this affects your coverage at our practice. 

Please note that this was not a change initiated by our practice. It is a nationwide trend that UHC has begun.  It has been widely televised in NY, CT, TX and many other states. We have appealed this decision, but historicaily appeals have not generally been accepted by UHC.  Our practice cares deeply for our patients and will help you in any way that we can. Remember that you have a choice in your medicare provider. We participate with BCBS Medicare Advantage and traditional Medicare plans. We are sorry for this abrupt change. We hope to continue caring for each of you in the future.
